Tipping The Balance

Tipping the Balance
Factory Farming
When we strip away all the conveniences of modern times and technology, what we are left with is our environment and the services and good that it gives us. By indulging in material bliss and masking our fundamental relationship with the environment we unknowingly take more than we give back to nature. With these realizations in mind I seek to retune people’s awareness to the delicate balance between man and nature.
My designs bring forth the issues related to the meat industry and its implications and stresses on the environment. I wanted to address an issue that is pertinant to the daily lives of many people.
I wanted to push my limits by making very minimalistic yet powerful imagery that speaks simply and clearly about the issues. My creative process was guided primarily by using found materials such as food, packaging paper, and trash. Most of my work is anchored in photography that has been manipulated.
